NASSAU COUNTY BIRD CLUB FIELD TRIP
Ralph E. Simmons Memorial State Forest
Saturday, March 24, 2018 9:00 am

ABOUT THE STATE FOREST
Rustic hiking through sandhills and slope forests, to the St. Mary’s River at the Florida-Georgia border. You may see sparrows, turkeys, bobwhites and waterbirds at the river.

DIRECTIONS: Take A1A/200 west to Yulee, Fla. Turn right on #17north to Fla. #108. Turn left on this road to Hilliard. Turn right onto US #1 north to Boulogne. Turn right at Boulogne onto Lake Hampton Rd. Drive 2 mi. to Penny Haddock Rd. and turn left. Meet at parking area on left side of road Car Pool Option: Meet at Lowe’s parking area closest to A1A/200 at 8:00 am. Car pool or follow us to the State Forest.

Bring Binoculars, Field Guide, Bug Lotion, Sunscreen, Rain gear, and Water.
