January 30, 2020

Please join the Fire Watch Council at their meeting next month to see how you can assist in their mission to stop Veteran’s Suicide!

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers located at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097.

As previously announced, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Interlocal Agreement between Nassau County, Baker County, Clay County, St. Johns County and the City of Jacksonville joining a new multi-jurisdictional government entity now known as “Northeast Florida Fire Watch Council”.

The Fire Watch Council will work together to combat the veteran suicide epidemic by establishing partnerships with local, state and federal agencies who work with veterans, non-profit organizations, and private donors to create programs aimed at supporting veterans in northeast Florida. The City of Jacksonville will serve as the home of the Fire Watch Program and will coordinate with surrounding counties to organize existing resources and provide one-on-one assistance to local veterans in need of crisis intervention.
