Mocama Beer Company is sponsoring two heartfelt community fundraisers to help Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc. raise money necessary to build an affordable home for a local family this summer. Admission to both events is free.

On Wednesday April 21st from 6pm to 8pm Mocama will partner with the Salty Pelican and Bliss Cakery to provide a mouthwatering small bite to enjoy with one of over a dozen beers on tap.

Again, on Wednesday April 28th from 6pm to 8pm Mocama will partner with Kitchen 251 for a second delicious beer and appetizer event.

At both events, every specially crafted beer purchased will yield a $1 donation to Nassau Habitat for Humanity and a ticket to sample the free food provided by our generous benefactors.

Mocama Beer Company opened in November 2020 as a craft brewery and taproom at 629 South 8th Street in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The beautifully restored mid-century building was originally a Ford dealership in the 1950s. The brewery features state-of-the-art brewing equipment and focuses on clean fermented, American styles of beer made with premium sourced raw materials.

Since opening, Mocama has aspired to be a leader in supporting the local community. Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is a local volunteer non-profit organization affiliated with Habitat for Humanity® International. Their local mission is to build family strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing, a need that has skyrocketed during COVID 19. Nassau Habitat has provided 44 homes for local families since 1993. Each home provides a “hand-up” not a “hand-out” to income-challenged families who make a personal and financial commitment to their new home.
