From editor and writer Jacki Levine and the University of Florida Press come “Once Upon a Time: Stories of Life in the Land of Promises.” Kick off the new year at an entertaining and educational literary luncheon. Enjoy a tour of the state’s culture and literary legends as told by Jacki, former editor of FORUM, the prestigious magazine of Florida Humanities, a nonprofit organization.
The luncheon is Saturday, Jan. 20, 12:30-2 p.m., at Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture. Tickets are still available and are $25. Books will be available for purchase. The event is presented by Story & Song and Amelia Island Writers, a chapter of the Florida Writers Association.
The coffee table book is a curated collection of our most beloved Florida authors and contains an array of stunning photographs coinciding with Florida Humanities' 50th anniversary in service to Florida’s communities. Jacki’s book is in celebration of Humanities, whose mission is to preserve, promote, and share the history, literature, cultures, and personal stories that offer Floridians a better understanding of themselves, their community, and their state.
