Following the December 19, 2017 Fernandina Beach City Commission’s (FBCC) rejection of all bids in response to RFQ 2017-04 to repair, design and build the south basin attenuator in the city’s marina, the city of Fernandina Beach immediately returned to the drawing board to develop a Plan B: seeking assistance in developing a design criteria package that may be used as a blueprint for soliciting further bids to repair the hurricane-damaged facility.

On December 22, 2017, City Manager Dale Martin mailed the letter below to the twenty-six approved engineers/engineering firms identified in Resolution 2016-55 (List of Qualified Engineering Firms).

As indicated in the correspondence, responses are due to the City Clerk no later than 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018. Once responses are received and compiled, the results will be provided to the City Commissioners for consideration.
