Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it.

Although many people have not yet recovered from the 2020 General Election, it is not too early to begin thinking about the 2022 elections, especially for those who might be considering a run for office.

Nassau County voters will be asked to select candidates for state and federal offices, as well as several local offices.

While the decennial redistricting has not been adopted yet for federal and state offices, the local offices below will appear on Nassau County ballots this year.  Note that this is not a complete list, but consists of races with impact throughout the County and in the City of Fernandina Beach. 

For the latest information on elections and voting, visit the Nassau County Supervisor of Elections website. There you will find all the information you need to register and vote in the upcoming elections or to become a candidate.  You will also find up-to-date information on which individuals have filed their intent to run for office along with their financial reports.

Nassau County Commission

Partisan, 4-year terms, salary:  $53,586

Primary election:  August 23, 2022; general election November 8, 2022

Voters will be asked to select Commissioners for Districts 2 and 4.

Nassau County School Board

Nonpartisan, 4-year terms, salary:  $34,536

Primary election:  August 23, 2022; general election November 8, 2022

Three seats will be on the ballot:  Districts 1,3, and 5

Ocean Highway and Port Authority

Partisan, 4-year terms, salary: $24,000

Primary election:  August 23, 2022; general election November 8, 2022

Seats for Districts 3, 4, and 5

Fernandina Beach City Commission

Nonpartisan, 4-year terms, salary: $12,000

General election:  November 8, 2022

Seats 4 & 5
