Fernandina Beach Main Street has started a facade improvement matching grant program. The program is intended to help property or business owners in the Main Street district beautify and rehab street-facing exteriors.

“By making consistent, incremental improvements to both private and public property, the overall appearance within the district will improve. We are so excited that our fundraising efforts have enabled us to make this investment in our local community,” said Executive Director Lisa Finkelstein.

Property or business owners can apply to receive a matching grant for up to 50% of the project cost, not to exceed $10,000.

The program is managed by Main Street with help provided by the City of Fernandina Beach and the Fernandina Beach Historic District. There are two grant application cycles, with the first open now through Nov. 30.The second grant application cycle will run from Feb. 1 through March 31, 2024.
