The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has presented Doctor Nadine Vaughan D’Ardenne with the NSDAR Women in the Arts Recognition Award for her excellence in writing. Standing with her (photo on right) are the chapter’s American Heritage Chairman Linda Davis on the left, and Amelia Island Chapter Regent Lynn Leisy on the right.

Dr. D’Ardenne is the author of two children’s book series, two novels, and a screenplay. She is the Director of Writers by the Sea, a writers’ group in Nassau County.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is the largest women’s service organization in the world and contributes over one million volunteer hours a year. The almost 200 members of the Amelia Island Chapter contribute approximately 5,000 volunteer hours and $4,000 in scholarships and awards in Nassau County each year.
