Thank you for your heartfelt support for Take Stock in Children Nassau and the mission we serve. After careful consideration the TSIC Board of Directors has made the very difficult decision to cancel our annual Light Up a Life gala scheduled for March 27, 2020 at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. This decision was reached due to the recent World Health Association COVID-19 health crisis to protect you and our students. This is our only fundraising event to support our program which provides mentors, college preparation and scholarships to academically talented, economically disadvantaged students so the impact on our program is substantial.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused, but in the current situation, we have few options for raising the funds we need. We are working on alternative plans to create a virtual alternative for our fundraising effort and we hope we can count on your support and participation.
If you have any questions including refund information, please send an email with your request to [email protected]. We hope you are willing to have your ticket purchase converted to a donation so we can meet the many needs of our student’s this year. Please make sure that this request is made by the end of April 2020. We will be delighted to send you documentation substantiating the full price of the ticket as a charitable contribution to TSIC Nassau, as no goods or services were supplied to you. This letter to you, will be in addition to our gratitude for your generosity and understanding.
