Amelia Island’s premier of the documentary “Last of the Right Whales” will be shown July 16th, 4:00PM, at the Story and Song Center for Arts & Culture.  Doors open 3:30PM for conversation and light refreshments.

Educating ourselves about North Atlantic right whales is important to the survival of this critically endangered species.  Each winter, they come to the waters off Amelia Island to birth and nurture their calves.

In addition to the film, our special guest speaker will be Barb Zoodsma, NOAA right whale recovery coordinator.  There is no charge for admission however donations will contribute to the Amelia Island Whale Ambassadors’ ongoing programs to help protect North Atlantic right whales.

This event is sponsored by the Amelia Island Whale Ambassadors, Wild Amelia, and the Nassau County Sierra Club.
