Editor’s Note: In September of 2010, the Amelia Island Fernandina Restoration Foundation invited Ed McMahon, senior resident fellow, of the Urban Land Institute and holder of the Charles E. Fraser chair to visit Fernandina Beach. During his stay, he met with city commissioners, city staff, the News Leader staff, and gave an evening presentation in which the public was invited.
