Gourmet Specialty Spice and Tea Shop Owned by Local Husband-Wife Duo

The Spice & Tea Exchange®, a specialty retail store offering an extensive selection of exotic teas, spices, exclusive seasonings, salts and naturally-flavored sugars, recently opened in Fernandina Beach. Located at 316 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034, The Spice & Tea Exchange is a haven for anyone looking to add more flavor to their lives. As a part of the interactive experience, guests are invited to browse the jar-lined walls of globally sourced spices, teas, and unique culinary ingredients. Spice Masters hand-mix more than 85 custom blends daily to allow guests to watch the small-batch production of their exclusive seasonings. For beginners and five-star chefs alike, the shop is an adventure through flavor combinations that may be both familiar and new to their repertoire. The Spice & Tea Exchange also offers corporate and holiday gift boxes, baskets and kitchen accessories to complement the spice and tea selections.

For those exploring the area and looking for a specialty beverage on-the-go, The Spice & Tea Exchange offers more than 60 varieties of loose-leaf teas and houses a Tea Bar for guests to order hot and iced teas to go. Visitors can stop in for a treat, as they offer seasonal and limited-time varieties.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring new and exciting flavors to Fernandina Beach and feel so welcomed by the community,” says Bill Files. “We look forward to sharing our stories and helping each guest who walks through our doors find new ways to bring more ideas into their kitchens.”

After being fans of the brand for years, Bill and Linda came across the opportunity to become the new owners of The Spice & Tea Exchange of Winter Park in 2016. A true family business, their son Harrison now manages the location on Park Avenue. For the last three years they have been searching for the perfect location to open their second store and landed in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island to evolve their family business. The couple is very engaged within the community, so much so that they rent an apartment in the area to stay involved locally. Bill and Linda are huge ambassadors of the brand, which adds to their enthusiasm of bringing The Spice & Tea Exchange to residents and visitors of Fernandina Beach.

“I have always loved The Spice & Tea Exchange products, some of our favorites are the Kahuna Garlic Salt, the Florida Sunshine products – especially the citrus seasoning salt – and of course the many green, black and herbal teas,” says Linda. “It’s a joy helping people become healthier versions of themselves and I truly believe we are able to do that through our wide variety of handcrafted products.”

The Files are also expanding their footprint locally by offering local wholesale partnerships to restaurants and breweries looking to take their menus to new heights.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information regarding The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Fernandina Beach, visit https://www.spiceandtea.com/fernandina-beach or call (904) 432-7897.

Both stores in FB and WP are fabulous, love to browse and take a new spice home for the kitchen. Good luck in both locations.
