The company they are referring to, Martex Services Landscape Management maintains South 8th Street from Centre to Lime Streets for the city of FB and or Nassau County. The story details of the companies extraordinary level of commercial landscape services to communities of N.E. Florida. I really don’t see anything to back up that statement, when I’ve personally watched them working on South 8th Street and blow all the leaves and debris from the sidewalks and along the curb, into the center turn-lanes, INSTEAD OF BAGGING THEM UP AND TAKING THEM WITH THEM AFTERWARDS. It only takes 15 or 20 minutes after the traffic goes by, for all those leaves and debris to go right back to the side of the road it came from. Maybe somebody out there believes they are doing their job, but I believe actions like that are simply WASTEFUL SPENDING!! Possibly, that’s what’s detailed in their maintenance contract, that they’re not supposed to bag it and take it, I DON’T KNOW??? If that’s the case, then it’s not the companies responsibility, it falls on whomever wrote the contract with them and pays for their services. Either way, it’s WASTEFUL SPENDING!!! Check it out for yourself sometime and you’ll see exactly what I’m referring to.
