Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Florida Development Assistance Program tennis players will enjoy new and improved courts at Fernandina’s Central Park. There is no cost to the city since the grant obtained provides for 100% funding of the project.
According to Nan Voit, parks and recreation director, “the project is currently at a standstill due to weather. Once the lime rock is ready, the asphalt will be installed and the tennis surface will be applied two weeks later.”
How about a decent backboard on the new courts as well?
