The Florida Department of Revenue has declared a sales tax holiday on back-to-school supplies starting Monday, July 25 and ending on Sunday, Aug. 7.
During the sales tax holiday period, tax is not due on the retail sale of:
— Clothing, footwear, and accessories with a sales price of $100 or less per item.
— School supplies with a sales price of $50 or les per item.
— Learning aids and puzzles with a sales price of $30 or less.
— Personal computers with a sales price of $1,500 or less (must be for noncommercial home or personal use).
