Giving Tuesday is special this year for Take Stock in Children of Nassau County. The theme of the virtual fundraiser on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 is “GivingTuesday for their tomorrow”. This year, TSIC has a generous donor who will match your donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000for donations made from December 1-3.
Take Stock in Children of Nassau(TSICN) is a nonprofit organization working to stop the cycle of poverty for low-income students. TSICN provides mentors and scholarships to academically promising students. The program begins in middle school, continues through high school, and supports students in college and career. Public and private donations help qualified Nassau County students achieve their dreams for a better future through their own hard work and Take Stock’s support. “Take Stock in Children Nassau County is focused on changing the lives of talented, deserving local students for the better.

Their tomorrow depends on your support,” says Chair of the Board of Directors, Regina Lee. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that uses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage giving worldwide.
Every year, Giving Tuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. The goal is to create a wave of generosity that touches every person on the planet and builds strong communities. This year your donation is matched by our private donor and by public dollars. Your investment stays local and builds the rigorous standards of success for TSICN students. Donors and supporters can check the TSIC Nassau Facebook page for live intervals throughout the day on Tuesday, December 1 with special interviews of current students and their mentors. Live broadcasts from across Nassau County will be aired at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and include an update on the dollars raised. This is the first year that Take Stock in Children has participated in Giving Tuesday.
