Next week Summer begins for the school kids in Nassau County and they will be looking to have some Summer fun. Luckily for them the Atlantic Recreation Center in Fernandina Beach has a variety of summer activities available there as well as at the Peck and Martin Luther King Centers. Some are city sponsored; some privately offered at various venues.
At Atlantic and MLK pools:
SWIMMING LESSONS, SNORKELING, SCUBA & LIFE GUARD.
MAHARAJ TENNIS LESSONS : City of Fernandina Beach Tennis Courts
CAMP AMELIA: Grades K – 5th Grade
GYMNASTICS & TUMBLING – Atlantic Rec Center
WILD WEDNESDAYS – Nature Adventure Series …Ages 8 and up-Amelia Island & Field Trips
KIDS NIGHT OUT –
Pizza and Swimming starting June 16 –Atlantic Rec Center (Saturdays)-Note July 21st goes to the Jacksonville Zoo.
There’s lots of fun ahead, so contact the Atlantic Rec Center at 904-277-7350 for more information and additional events that may be added.
Also, if the kids really want an experience at the beach, why not rent a beachfront condo or cottage for a week of fun.
Reports are that summer rental reservations are ahead of last year with many last minute bookings, so if you want to do that, contact an area real estate rental company as soon as possible.
