Fernandina Beach residents have a beautiful day for voting without long lines that have plagued voters in south Florida.
As of 12:45 this afternoon, 67.62% of registered votes in Nassau County have cast their ballots. Some 6,070 voters have voted so far today.
By the end of the 2008 Presidential election, 81.20% of Nassau County registered voters had cast their ballots. In order to match that level, another 9,701 voters must arrive at the polls by 7:00 p.m. this evening.
Through out election night, the Fernandina Observer will keep you informed. We expect early voting results shortly after 7:00 p.m.
