The victim was my husband and I am happy to report he was released from the hospital with only minor injuries. We are very thankful for the prompt emergency response and the support from the community. He may not be thrilled to be described as an elderly man but he’s alive to take issue with it!

I too have begun to wonder at the “term” elderly being used to describe those of us who reach a certain age. I realized that when I was recently involved in a rear end crash to my car that if it were written up I would also be described as an “elderly” woman. I don’t think of myself as that, I think of my mother as elderly but not me!!! Ha.
