Fernandina Beach Police Department Press Release

On August 28th at approximately 8:30 PM the Subway Restaurant located at 1722 South 8th Street was robbed by lone gunman.
The subject entered the business, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk immediately complied and the suspect fled the business on foot.
The suspect is described as a thin black male approximately 5’09” to 5’11” wearing a white cloth over his face, a dark ball cap, black and white tennis shoes, a large grey sweat shirt, and dark “Dickies” style work pants.
