The historic Palace Saloon is bringing the Budweiser Clydesdales to town and our community is in for a treat!   On Friday, November 16, 2012 between 1:30 and 2, the famous Clydesdales will be unloaded at Central Park and hitched to the Budweiser beer wagon for a trip through Fernandina’s historic downtown.

“We’ve talked about this for years,” says Bill Childers, Palace Saloon general manager  who helped spearhead the event.  “The connection with the Palace Saloon,  and Budweiser goes back to the  original founder of the Budweiser company,  Adolphus Bush.”  Bush is reported to have helped create the original design of the Palace Saloon’s famous bar almost 110 years ago.

The Clydesdales will arrive on three trailers.  Once harnessed and ready to go, the Clydesdales will proceed down Center Street to deliver freshly brewed beer to the front doors of the Palace Saloon.
