The Amelia Island Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution has updated its sign to the city’s Welcome to Fernandina Beach as you enter the downtown area via 8th Street.

This sign with the new logo replaces the one with the traditional DAR insignia that graced the city’s welcome sign for decades. This eye-catching replacement is designed to remind both visitors and residents that island Daughters are a contributing factor to our community.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is the largest women’s service organization in the world and contributes over one million volunteer hours a year. The approximately 200 members of the Amelia Island Chapter contribute 5,000 volunteer hours and $5,000 in scholarships and awards in Nassau County each year.
