9/30/20 @ 8:15 a.m. – Beginning Thursday, October 1, 2020, the Nassau County Convenience Recycling Center located at 46026 Landfill Rd. Callahan, will begin accepting latex paint for disposal. Previously, latex paint could only be disposed of twice a year at the Household Hazardous Waste and Recycling Events. Now, you can dispose of it safely year-round at the Convenience Recycling Center during normal business hours.
Please keep in mind that the Convenience Recycling Center is closed on Wednesdays, however they are open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon to accommodate residents who can’t make it during the work week. To view operating hours, please click here.

Also, stay tuned for an upcoming Public Service Announcement describing how you can safely dispose of latex paint at home. We will be working with Keep Nassau Beautiful to bring this information to the residents within the next few weeks.
