Kelley Truck 1Kelley Termite and Pest Control and Bug out Service have recently merged under the control of Environmental Pest Services from south Florida to form a united partnership against Nassau County’s unwanted pests. According to Kelley’s recent announcement to their customers, this combined partnership will “continue their growth in the market and increase their service options.” Curtis Rand, Bug Out Service’s president was quoted as saying that they are excited about the partnership and will continue its superior level of service.”

Steve Kelley, owner of Kelley Termite and Pest Control, and current county commissioner, told customers that the new services available will “include lawn and ornamental care, irrigation, insulation. wildlife removal and exclusion, as well as its regular services.”

Kelley Truck CropKelley started his business over 35 years ago after serving 4 years in the US Air Force. His career in pest control started in California with Terminix. He moved back to his family home in Fernandina Beach and continued working for Terminix until he opened his doors at Kelley Termite and Pest Control with a single truck and family help as well as a $50 line of credit from the local hardware store. Over the years it has grown to include many employees and thousands of customers.

He and his wife and business partner, Bernice, have treated their employees and customers like family over the years. Many of their employees have been with them for a long time and will continue to serve the customers. The Kelleys have also served the community through many local organizations including the Optimists and American Business Women as well as providing their warehouse for non-profits such as “Joy to the Children” and Cats Angels. EPS and Bug Out have assured them that they intended to continue their community-minded service with this new partnership. And you can be assured that you can still reach them in their building on the corner of 10th and Lime St. or by phone at 261-7923.

Steve and Bernice also graciously provided the warehouse for the annual Estate Sale of the Amelia Island Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution – and we thank them for it!
