Improvisational Comedy Troupe at ACT – From workshops to performance

ACT 1Amelia Community Theatre is forming an improvisational comedy troupe for ages 18 and up called I.ACT. No experience is necessary and beginners are welcome. The first workshop will be from 3 – 5 p.m. on August 27 at 209 Cedar Street in ACT’s Studio 209 Theatre. In weekly workshops, troupe members will learn common improvisation techniques and interact through games and exercises.

Led by ACT’s production manager Tener Wade, the troupe will focus on building a positive and trusting atmosphere where members can create funny and serious scenes from audience suggestions. I.ACT will work toward a “Night of Improv” performance in December.
