Nassau Habitat for Humanity is holding its second annual golf tournament on April 21 at the Amelia River Golf Club. This is one of two annual fundraisers that support the non-profit’s goal to build six houses a year by 2026. Another fundraiser, She Nailed It! will be held on Oct. 22. Three homes near Vernon and Elm Streets are well underway for the 2023 build, and plans are in the works for the four homes in Berkman Place that will be constructed in 2024.
Nassau Habitat has been committed to the local community since 1993, building 50 affordable homes for deserving families. This commitment depends on the generosity of hundreds of active volunteers and donors who help fund and raise the roof on each new home.
