Genealogy Group to View New Software

The Amelia Island Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the Community Room of the Fernandina Beach Branch Library, 25 N. Fourth St.

Mark Olsen will give a virtual presentation on What is New in Family Tree Maker. Olsen will introduce the latest update of the Family Tree Maker software, explaining how to get the update, what to do prior to running it, and highlighting its main features. This presentation will not only be useful to those who are already using the FTM software, but also to those who are considering acquiring it. A door prize will be presented to one person at the meeting.

Mark Olsen is the Family Tree Maker Ambassador to historical and genealogical societies around the world working to support their members as they use Family Tree Maker. Mark is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Family History with a Spanish records emphasis. He has been working in the genealogy industry since 2007 and has been the Family Tree Maker Ambassador since 2016.
