Florida Department of Health September 25 – 11 new cases of Coronavirus in Nassau County

Nassau County Emergency Management: On October 6th the City of Fernandina Beach will be considering an extension of their mandate that face-coverings be worn in public places when social distance of at least six feet cannot be maintained.

Although the BOCC did not renew the county-wide mandatory mask order last night, they all agreed that residents should follow the advice of our County Public Health & Medical Officer as well as that of the Florida Surgeon General and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention:
1) Wear a cloth face-covering in public whenever a distance of at least six feet cannot be maintained! The face-covering protects vulnerable community members from any droplet-borne diseases you might carry.
3) Avoid crowds whenever possible. Planned gatherings should be kept to a minimum – try to keep them to ten people or fewer when indoors.
2) If you are sick, do not go out in public! If you need supplies, have a friend or loved one deliver needed supplies to your door so that they are not exposed.
3) WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN WITH SOAP AND WATER. Avoid touching your face. Avoid touching objects or surfaces others have touched with their dirty hands – and if you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer as soon as possible, before touching anything else.
4) Practice good respiratory hygiene. Cover coughs and sneezes properly – into your elbow/sleeve or use a cloth or tissue, and wash your hands afterward.

These survival rate statistics are the only Covid numbers that are truly important. Age 0 to 19, 99.97% survival rate, age 20 to 49, 99.98% survival rate. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid we’ve had flu events as long as everyone can remember, hello.
