Our heartfelt condolences go out to the loved ones of these two community members. DOH-Nassau epidemiologists are investigating 71 new positive cases today. Contact tracing will take place in the coming weeks – Please answer calls and be vigilant in your efforts to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases.
Stay home, isolated, if you are sick. Stay home, in quarantine, if you are notified by a close contact or Public Health that you have been exposed to a positive case. Wash your hands well and often. Use soap and lather for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating and after touching something that others have touched. Avoid crowds and close contact with anyone who doesn’t live with you.
Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth whenever you are in public, in case you are a carrier. (you can spread infectious virus particles even if you don’t have a cough)
