“The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market is located on North Seventh Street, between Centre and Alachua Streets in downtown Fernandina Beach. Both markets are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.”
This coming Saturday, August 10th, we will be joining farmers markets across America as we celebrate National Farmers Market Week. We’d be honored if you would accept this simple invitation to take a stroll through the farmers market and see for yourself how much we have grown and how local farmers markets serve as vital civic, economic, and nutritional anchors in our community – and across America.
Our market is made up of small business owners, farmers, ranchers, and producers who work tirelessly to bring fresh, healthy, and locally sourced products to your family every week. Our farmers don’t gas their produce for brighter colors, or wax them for a smoother finish, or haul them a thousand miles to get to market. No, the shrimp is locally wild caught, the watermelons are grown in Hilliard, and the yard eggs are fresh from a farm in Nassauville. While every Saturday may not be a picture-perfect Chamber of Commerce day for weather, every Saturday is still a perfect day to shop local in historic Fernandina Beach.
You could make a quick trip in and out, stop by the management booth for a full guided tour, or plan on spending the entire morning. When was the last time you sampled and taste-tested your way through the farmers market, window shopped the quaint stores of downtown, or had a leisurely lunch in one of our fantastic restaurants? We hope you will join us Saturday for National Farmers Market Week as we show a warm Fernandina Beach welcome to over 40 vendors displaying their tasty, natural, and healthy farmers market products.
The Fernandina Beach Arts Market will also be open adjacent to the farmers market with an additional 20 booths of small business artists and craftsman showing off their talents in painting, sewing, wood working, fine and whimsical jewelry, and more. There is no multilevel marketing or imported merchandise permitted in our Arts Market, just hand-made arts and crafts.

Both markets are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. Live music will be provided by Chris Loomis, and of course, your well behaved, leashed pets are welcome to join you!
