The 3rd Annual Blues Fest, that is.
Hundered of people attended the free, kick-off event on Friday night September 13, 2013, on Centre Street near the Palace Saloon with noted bluesman Albert Castiglia. The event continues today, beginning at 10:30 a.m. for holders of VIP tickets, and general admission open a half-hour later at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are available at the door. Saturday’s line up includes:
• 11:15 – 12:00 Claudette King, – BB King’s very talented youngest daughter
• 12:15 – 1:00 Josh Miller Band
• 1:15 – 2:00 Roger Hurricane Wilson w/ Shuffle Junkies
• 2:15 – 3:30 John Nemeth Band
• 3:45 – 5:00 Zac Harmon
• 5:15 – 6:30 Ana Popovic
• 6:45 – 8:00 Mud Morganfield Muddy Waters’ son keeping the Chicago blues alive.

The Centre Street crowds enjoyed the blues Friday night, even with the passing train in the background. Saturday’s venue will be the Amelia River parking area, south of Ash Street.
