Fernandina Beach CDBG Rehabilitation and Replacement Housing Program

City of Fernandina Beach

The City of Fernandina Beach is accepting applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Rehabilitation and Replacement Housing Program on a first come, first served, first qualified basis as long as funding continues to be available.  Applications are available on the City’s website at www.fbfl.us/CDBG, or can be picked up at the Community Development Department located in City Hall at 204 Ash Street between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Specific information about the Housing Rehabilitation Program is available on the application form.  Some important information that potential applicants should know before submitting an application include the following:

  • This is for single family, owner-occupied homes located within the City of Fernandina Beach municipal limits only;
  • Applicants must fall within the income limits (below) for the household size;
  • There is a limitation on what components may be rehabilitated as part of the rehabilitation project.  The list is available on the application or our website at www.fbfl.us/CDBG;
  • Participants will be required to sign a mortgage and promissory note for a deferred payment loan;
  • Participants must have comprehensive homeowners insurance; and,
  • Applicants with a mortgage must possess a satisfactory payment history; have no foreclosures within last 7 years; and, have no mortgage delinquencies.
