Fernandina Beach Airport Manager Nathan Coyle

Following an extensive search, the City of Fernandina Beach has selected Nathan M. Coyle to be the new Airport Manager at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (FHB).Mr. Coyle is an Air Force veteran of nearly eight years who previously served as an Airport Manager in McCall, Idaho. He possesses the ability to provide strong leadership having served in several key positions including operations. “I am very excited about this opportunity and grateful for the selection,” said Coyle.

City Manager Dale L. Martin revealed that the Selection Committee, consisting of other City staff and a representative of the Airport Advisory Commission, collectively scored Mr. Coyle as the top candidate. He indicated that Mr. Coyle stood above the other approximately thirty candidates due to his extensive airfield operations and airport management experience. Mr. Coyle is an American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee, as well as credentialed as an FAA Control Tower Operator. His starting salary is $68,000 (funded through Airport revenues), and he is scheduled to begin his work with the City on August 15.

Martin said, “Mr. Coyle will provide an exceptional level of aviation professionalism to the Airport and the City during an exciting period of activity and growth. The Airport will be in good hands with Mr. Coyle and Mr. Kozakoff for the foreseeable future. I look forward to welcoming Mr. Coyle to the Fernandina Beach community.”
