The Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery promises a very interesting presentation on September 24th at 2pm. Nine women artists participated in this art project. This 9-month progressive art project resulted in 9 diverse paintings each produced sequentially by the artists. The artists involved, who will be present, are Gwen Cowart, Vickie Maley, Susan Henderson, Sue Schraft, Denise Murphy, Liz Dion, Georganna Mullis, Sharon Haffey, and Rebecca McDannold.
Their incentive was to inspire creativity, stretch artistic limits, and to have an art based way to have fun while developing relationships. Each artist has a work of art as a memento of the project. A video displaying each 18×24″ painting as it is being completed will be shown. The paintings and the artists will be present.
The Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery, is located at 94 Amelia Village Circle in the Omni Amelia Island Plantation shops. Hours at the Gallery are Monday 11-5, Tuesday 9-1, Wednesday through Saturday 11- 5, and Sunday 1-5. Any questions call (904) 432-1750.
