A small aircraft is positioned at the east end of a runway 1331 at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport. From a distance, the plane did not appear to have suffered serious damage. The aircraft along with a police vehicle with lights flashing could be seen from the Amelia Island Parkway. An emergency vehicle was headed to the scene. According to a McGill Aviation representative, the pilot was landing the aircraft. The Fernandina Observer will continue to follow the story.
