Covid quarantining lacking excitement these days? Looking to add add a change to your routine? The Nassau Humane Society is eager to help. Loving pets are available for adoption at their shelter located across the road from the Municipal Airport at 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Two terrier mixed puppies named Lavender and Turquoise from a recent county litter of five were featured as “Dogs of the Month” at the July 7, 2020 Regular Meeting of the Fernandina Beach City Commission. The two, 2-month old puppies will be available for adoption next week. They are currently available for pre-adoption.  But if you are not sure you can handle a puppy, many other dogs — and cats, too — are also ready for good  homes.

The shelter has implemented new hours:

Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Monday

The Nassau Humane Society always welcomes volunteers and donations, too!
