Editor’s Note:  Accolades to former lifeguard Bryce Kooker who put the following  video together.  Whether or not you are interested in being a lifeguard, the video is worth watching.  You will have a renewed appreciation for the work our lifeguards do.  Every summer is a great summer when no lives are lost on our beaches.

My grandaughter was employed as a lifeguard recently and it was a self-satisfying profession. As the last participant interviewed said that it brought a maturity and an importance of life that she didn’t have before. Unfortunately she also was involved with an incident that was not good that impressed on her how life is precious and not to be wasted.
