AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (Feb. 21, 2022) – For car enthusiasts, the annual Amelia Island Concours Week (March 3-6) is a multi-day celebration of automotive excellence that is not to be missed. The centerpiece of this island-wide celebration is now known simply as The Amelia, an internationally acclaimed event recently purchased and rebranded by long-time sponsor and classic car insurer Hagerty. Now in its 27th year, The Amelia has created a 2022 schedule reflecting an evolution in the event, designed to attract more families and connect with the next generation of fans while honoring the best traditions of car culture. The Amelia’s stellar lineup of driving experiences and events includes the grand finale Concours d’Elegance (March 6), which showcases hundreds of historically significant vehicles from seldom seen private collections around the world.
Among other highlights of the 2022 Amelia Island Concours Week are auctions by Bonhams and Gooding & Co.; more than 600 Porsches on display at Werks Reunion; and The Amelia’s new Cars & Community events, including an 1980s-‘90s focused RADwood display, the fun and low-brow Concours d’Lemons, a Supercar Celebration and The Amelia’s first-ever Kids Zone.
