Barnabas Center recently received two grants totaling $10,000 and gift cards valued at $2,000 from Publix Super Markets and Publix Super Markets Charities to support the agency’s food programs.

The donations enable Barnabas to provide much-needed food for the food pantry and mobile food distributions throughout Nassau County to help people in need, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, one of the grants represents a platinum sponsorship for Barnabas’ 8th annual Empty Bowls fundraising EXTRAVAGANZA coming up on November 12th.

In the last year, Barnabas provided food to 14,000 men, women and children who are food insecure or experiencing hunger. Thanks to its supporters, including Publix Super Markets Charities, Barnabas is helping to address hunger in Nassau County.
