FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 19, 2020) – Barberitos, a fast-casual burrito restaurant with 50 locations across the Southeast, is excited to announce the reopening of its Fernandina Beach location (1519 Sadler Road) under the leadership of new owners Bobby and Kate Wilder. Following a short closure for construction, the restaurant will reopen to the public beginning Monday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. The location is providing free lunches to local firefighters and police officers as a test run for the kitchen on Friday, Aug. 21.

The Fernandina location was established in 2011. Updates to the restaurant include replacing the kitchen equipment, salsa bar, light fixtures, countertops, dining room tables and chairs, as well as updating the restrooms and repainting the interior. It will feature a personalized mural that includes elements unique to the city, such as the Mill, Fort Clinch, Cumberland Island and more. Pepe – the chain’s mascot – will attend the grand-opening celebration and there will be lots of Barberitos giveaways such as $25 gift cards and free Barberitos catering.

“As owners of three additional Barberitos locations, we are thrilled to bring our passion for serving great food and providing exceptional customer service to the Fernandina community,” said Bobby Wilder. “Our team is excited about the updates to the restaurant, so we can better serve our guests.”
