Editor’s Note: Today, Colin Baenziger & Associates provided a list of its selection of top candidates for the position of Fernandina Beach City Manager. Baenziger will appear appear before the City Commissioners to discuss the candidates on September 8.
Certainly a wide range of candidates with varying qualifications. Some initial research indicate that some of the candidates “have some ‘splaining’ to do”.

I would like to know their positions on environmental issues. Would they bring in planners who are more attuned to environment and not just rubber stamps for developers.
There is one name missing from the list: Dave Lott, a qualified professional who shares our interests and concerns as a citizen, knows the details about managing Fernandina Beach, and is articulate and approachable. While I know the reasons Dave may have for not putting his hat in the ring, I think he’s the high watermark we can use to qualify the other candidates.
