Join the Democratic Club of Amelia Island on Tuesday, January 28, at 6:00 PM at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club, 2800 Bill Melton Road, Fernandina Beach 32034 for their Annual Members’ and Monthly Dinner Meeting. The guest speaker will be Leslie Goller, an attorney for Terrell Hogan for over 20 years, who has a long history of providing legal support to the Democratic Party.

Leslie will provide us with an overview of voters’ rights issues in Florida and the work she is doing to help the Party address them. Leslie is a graduate of Duke University and received her J.D. from Washington & Lee University. While in law school, she did an internship at the Federal Trade Commission’s Office of General Counsel, which sparked her passion for helping consumers. She served as a paralegal in John Anderson’s campaign prior to attending law school. The night of the 2000 election she returned to election law representing Vice President Gore in Duval County and has represented the Florida Democratic Party and Democratic candidates since.Leslie has been recognized with numerous awards including: in 2019 and 2009 the Democratic Women’s Information Network’s Jackie Brown Activist Award, in 2013 the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association Woman Lawyer of the Year Award, in 2009 a Florida Justice Assoc. award for her work in the 2008 election, in 2009 the Duval Democratic Executive Committee’s Jackie Brown Award, in 2007 the Jacksonville NAACP’s Sallye B. Mathis Community Service Award, and in 1993 for the State of Florida the Environmental Woman of Action Award, among others
