Friends of Crooked River State Park is holding an Arts in the Park festival May 7th from 10am-4pm. The festival celebrates nature with visual art, dance and music. Come enjoy plein air painters, community dancers, local artisans, & music. Bring your chairs and be entertained with performances by creatives on the lawn throughout the day, purchase a special handmade work of art or watch plein air painter as they create a one of kind masterpiece before your eyes. Vote for your favorite painting. The winners will receive a cash prize at the end of the festival.
In addition to the performances, festival goers can attend free educational demonstrations, and activities on a variety of nature related art and movement activities including the opportunity to learn and participate in a maypole dance, yoga class and more. The Coastal Camden Art League will be on hand to provide free art activities for kids throughout the day. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Feel free to enjoy the many other amenities of Crooked River State Park as well. Entry to the park is $5/vehicle, the festival activities are free.

The festival is accepting applications for art & craft vendors as well as plein aire painters. Vendor fees are $25 and due in full in advance. Plein aire painters are free, however registration is required. There will be a cash prize for fan favorite plein aire paintings awarded at the end of the festival. Vendors and painters will need to bring their own supplies.
