Editor’s Note: A good crowd gathered on a late Friday afternoon to participate in a worldwide “Climate Strike” at Central Park in Fernandina Beach. The purpose of the strike was to demand action to combat climate change. We thank Steve Leimberg for sending his photographs our way.

A native of Wildwood, New Jersey (another barrier island), Leimberg makes his home on Amelia Island. While residing in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Steve taught Estate and Business Succession Planning in the Tax Masters Programs at Temple University Law School , Villanova University Law School, and the American College.

What are they going to do to stop climate change? Will they stop volcanic activity and learn how to control the cycles of the sun? These are the things that drive the climate, no? According to the Farmer’s Almanac we are headed for a cold snowy winter. It seems like thing are getting colder, not warmer.
