The Second Annual Golf Tournament benefitting the Collin Helms Foundation Scholarship Fund will take place Monday, Nov. 8 at Amelia National Golf Club, 95211 Clubhouse Rd., Fernandina Beach.
Collin was a star baseball player at Fernandina Beach High School who lost his life in a tragic accident 17 months ago. The Foundation supports local baseball programs and scholarships for Pirate Baseball-Babe Ruth.
The event will kick off with registration and practice at 8 a.m. followed by Shotgun 4-person Scramble at 9 a.m. A silent auction will be available for bids all day. Awards will take place immediately after and lunch will be served and goodie bags available.
Many exciting silent auction items have been donated by area businesses including beach condo stays, gift baskets, and dinners at local restaurants and charter boat outings. More auction items would be appreciated.
