“Do You Hear the People Sing?” You will hear our cast of Les Miserables (School Edition) when over 50 teens take the AMP stage August 1-18 for 12 performances of this classic musical. Students from all across Nassau County and south Georgia have been rehearsing for weeks to perfect their production. They will be accompanied by a full orchestra, conducted by Carrie Mays and featuring many student musicians as well as our adult regulars in the pit, and teens also running lights for the show. The student version of this iconic story does not “water down” the content nor the lyrics for our teens, so be prepared for PG13 content and language, as in the original. AMP was able to perform the original Les Mis in 2015, during a brief time period when it was made available to community theatres, and several of our cast and production team will be involved in this show as well. Show dates are 8/1,2,3,4,8,9,10,11,15,16,17,18. All shows are at 7:30 pm, except our Sunday shows which are now at 5:00 pm.
