Alligator visits Fort Clinch

Editor’s Note:  Amy Wade captured this photo during the early morning hours last Sunday at Fort Clinch.   According to Amy, the gator “walked around, chased some birds and then all of a sudden ran into the water and was gone!”  Amy said she has rescued a gator in 2013, and she has “seen gators on the beach before, but never  one walking around and leaving gator tracks and prints all over the beach. It was an exciting morning for sure!”

Amy took an amazing photo with a great subject matter, but fantastic background too!! Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us. This gator was enjoying his morning walk, run, swim while chilling at the Fort. All God’s creatures….

That looks like a Croc to me! If teeth are exposed when the mouth is closed definitely a Crocodile. Though this is a great photo, it’s a bit grainy so it’s hard to tell if that’s teeth I see. Either way what an amazing sight to see & thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with us.
