Uncle Sam dropped by to lend his support to the Amelia Island Chapter DAR before its members marched in the Veterans Day Parade. First Vice regent Carol Elefterion is tucked under his right arm, and Teresa Reynolds stands at his left side.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is the largest women’s service organization in the world and contributes over one million volunteer hours a year. The approximately 200 members of the Amelia Island Chapter contribute around 5,000 volunteer hours and $5,000 in scholarships and awards in Nassau County each year.
