The City of Fernandina Beach in partnership with the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization is hosting a community meeting for the 9th Street Roadway Study on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Peck Center Auditorium located at 516 South 10th Street from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

The purpose of the 9th Street Study is to develop a set of improvement recommendations for the roadway such as on-street parking, walking and biking features, safety measures, drainage, landscape, and street design.

This meeting is an opportunity for the community to participate in the planning process by expressing their interests, concerns, and ideas about the future of the 9th Street roadway through a variety of methods. The meeting will include a hands-on ‘Build Your Street’ activity, thought boards, comment maps, and open communication with City and County staff. Additionally, NassauTRANSIT representatives will be present to discuss current service options including the Island Hopper route. We hope you will join us to participate in planning future on-street improvements for 9th Street.

Light refreshments will be provided!
