FERNANDINA BEACH, FL. – May 14, 2020 – Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Rayonier Advanced Materials’ (NYSE: RYAM) charitable organization, the RYAM Foundation, contributed $45,000 to five local nonprofit organizations that are addressing community needs in Nassau County. The company is looking to boost these organizations further by encouraging employees, contractors, vendors and other community members to consider making contributions of their own.

“It is our responsibility to help our neighbors in need,” said Paul Boynton, President and Chief Executive Officer at Rayonier Advanced Materials. “These nonprofits are doing excellent work. We are proud to support them and to encourage our employees, contractors and communities to do the same.”

The local nonprofits were selected according to their mission and need. Some of the selected nonprofits offer food assistance to residents, while others serve senior citizens, offer mental health services or shelter victims of domestic abuse.

“Our local grant committee did a fantastic job identifying organizations that would most benefit our neighbors in need during this difficult time,” said Jay Posze, President of the RYAM Foundation. “Each of these organizations play a vital role in making Nassau County a better place to live. Today, their mission is more critical than ever.”

Hoping to boost these organizations further, the company is circulating a webpage where employees, contractors, vendors and other community members can learn more about each nonprofit and how to contribute themselves. To learn more, visit: https://rayonieram.com/community/ryam-foundation-grants/

“The only way out is through, and the only way through is together,” said Mark Homans, General Manager at Rayonier Advanced Materials’ Fernandina Beach plant. “Each of the nonprofits we selected are delivering vital services to Nassau County’s most vulnerable. We hope our employees and partners will join us in supporting their good work.”
